Sylvia Earle – Her Deepness
Sylvia Earle is an oceanographer and marine botanist who writes and lectures about our oceans and is sometimes called “Her Deepness.” She has led more than 100 diving expeditions and clocked more than 7,000 hours underwater. She was the first female chief scientist of the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and has been a National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence since 1998.
